Joyce received the Arthur Miller Playwriting Fellowship for her one-act FORMERLY KNOWN as SARAH performed at Lincoln Center Institute among other venues. Most recently, she narrated the entertaining SHE WHO FINDS A HUSBAND, written by novelist E.N. Joy.
Oyu Oro is a New York City-based Afro-Cuban dance company founded by Danys “La Mora” Pérez, the 2019 Dance/USA Doris Duke Fellow. The company is committed to building bridges among African diasporic and Hispanic cultures as well as between traditional and unconventional dance forms of the modern age while preserving Afro-Cuban culture through dance, song, and music. Oyu Oro’s traditional repertoire pays tribute to African lineages derived from the Yoruba, Congo, Carabali, Arara, and Dahomean cultures of West Africa and Haiti. The popular dance choreographies celebrate the national Cuban heritage.

Founded in 2004 the group specializes in the performance of African traditional and art songs accompanied by graceful and vibrant movements. With numerous performances to its credit NYACE is the proud organizer of the NYC Multicultural Festival.

Producer Michael Green has the passion, vision and experience to develop relevant and innovative plays written by and about people of color.

We dare to expose the hidden truths in American history and pay homage to their unsung heroes. We celebrate the many triumphs and contributions of African Americans. Michael is also committed to nurturing the next generation of playwrights, journalist and activists. His time and talents are accessible to young people through various workshops and after school programs.
